Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group Announce Rental Launch in Brooklyn Eagle + West Luxury Waterfront Residential Towers

Brookfield Properties, in partnership with Park Tower Group, today announced the launch of rental at Eagle + West, a 745-unit luxury apartment complex designed by renowned architectural firm OMA. With Beyer Blinder Belle Architects collaborating as executive architect with residential unit design and interior amenity design by Marmol Radziner, Eagle + West is the latest set of residential towers to open along the beachfront in East River in North Brooklyn as part of the Greenpoint Landing Master Plan.

“Greenpoint Landing has become one of the most desirable places to live in the city, so we are thrilled to begin renting at Eagle + West and offer renters another inspiring, modern and luxurious option to choose from in the neighborhood. , ” said Maria Masi, Senior Vice President, Brookfield Properties Development. “With unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline, bright and elegantly designed interiors, top-notch amenities, and unparalleled access to waterfront parks, cafes, restaurants, and more, Eagle + West represents the ultimate life experience.”

“The evolution of Greenpoint Landing has been remarkable to watch. We are thrilled that this architecturally significant property is now open and provides tenants with a holistic residential experience,” said Marian Klein, President, Park Tower Group.

Commanding a prime waterfront location on the East River overlooking all of Manhattan, Eagle + West comprises two luxury towers – 40 and 30 stories each, respectively. The project includes 745 apartments in total, of which 224 are designated affordable.

Defined by the space between them, the two cantilevered towers were carefully designed by OMA partner Jason Long to maximize views towards Manhattan and create a sense of residential privacy. The north tower recedes from its base, creating space for sweeping exterior terraces, while the south tower extends out, capturing 360 degree views. Resembling the clapboard facades of Greenpoint townhouses, the building facades are sculpted by a series of inclined planes that alternate in orientation – a dynamic feature that reacts to the movement of the sun – and contain gridded concrete panels inlaid with square windows eight feet by eight. , granting each unit an abundance of natural light.

“Eagle+West is a reflection of the collective ambition – with Brookfield, Park Tower Group and the construction and design teams – to create a living platform that connects past and future, inside and outside. outdoor, urban life and the waterfront. It’s been an amazing journey seeing our first New York towers take shape on the Brooklyn waterfront, and we can’t wait to see them come to life,” said Jason Long, Partner, OMA.

“The residential units have been designed to maximize the stunning views, using materials that evoke warmth and elegance, while providing a relaxing environment to come home to. Every detail has been carefully crafted to elevate the senses to a another level of beauty,” said Carlos Cardoso, AIA, Partner, Beyer Blinder Belle.

Eagle + West features 42,000 square feet of carefully designed indoor and outdoor amenity space for recreation and relaxation, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, dedicated cycling studio, and tranquil yoga room; a large central terrace with a breathtaking view of the seafront with bookable grills and a petanque court flanked by lounges; an indoor lap pool; a resort-style outdoor pool; a coworking center with conference rooms; a crash pad area with large screen TV, sound system and video projector; a creative leisure workshop; game room; the Children’s Room; and a test kitchen. Additionally, residents have immediate access to the James Corner Field Operations-designed Greenpoint Landing waterfront park and steps to the G subway and Greenpoint ferry stop.

As an interior and landscape designer, Marmol Radziner’s goal for the design of the Eagle + West project was to complement the exterior architecture and surroundings with thoughtful spaces for its residents. The design reflects the architecture as well as the natural environment, in connection with the angles of the building and the views over the East River to Manhattan. Interior and exterior finishes have a strong emphasis on tactile movement, with a color palette reminiscent of the waterfront. Minimalist interior spaces have soft tones and textured materials that are both refined and honest. A cohesive sense of warmth and comfort has been achieved through the use of colors, wooden design elements, textured concrete, and meticulously selected furnishings that reflect the refined level of detail found throughout the common areas.

“We are thrilled to collaborate on this wonderful project and bring our vision to life in every piece of equipment Eagle + West has to offer. We have designed warm and welcoming spaces, centered on the residents and their needs. Large, open lobbies and amenity areas create visual connections between the interior and exterior and Greenpoint Landing’s waterfront. Furnishings are simple and refined, punctuated with pieces that push the boundaries, creating exciting and dynamic spaces that reinforce the architecture of the buildings. We look forward to seeing this community grow and prosper,” said Ron Radziner, FAIA, Design Partner, Marmol Radziner.

Park Tower Group is developing the master plan for Greenpoint Landing which when completed will include approximately 5,500 apartments (both market priced and permanently affordable units), extensive riverside parkland designed by James Corner Field Operations and numerous local retail opportunities. The final slice of the four-acre public park and boardwalk will open later this summer. Eagle + West is the fourth residential project Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group have developed together as part of the planned 22-acre Greenpoint Landing development. The companies opened the One Blue Slip site in 2018, Two Blue Slip in 2020 and The Bellslip last May.
