Trends are a big part of design; they help inform what’s hot and “in the moment”. Trends are, by nature, transient. Ashley Furniture HomeStore (AFHS) hosted an evening to discuss furniture trends at its Liguanea branch last Friday as part of Jamaica Observer’s Design Week 2022.

Ashley Furniture HomeStore International, being one of the largest and premier furniture manufacturers in the world, heavily influences these design trends and has created a video highlighting currently trending lifestyles and themes.

The conversation was moderated by Angelie Martin-Spencer, the company’s longtime internal design ambassador, as well as architect and interior designer Mala Morrison, and wood handler and designer Tamara Harding of Mara Made Designs. .

Panelists discussed the best ways to incorporate trends into the home, achieving lasting looks that can be lived in for a long time.

Guests enjoyed refreshments provided by Jacqui Tyson with selections of wines from Select Brands and were thrilled with the many opportunities to walk away with great prizes.
