Really Baby Name Inspiration box come from anywhere, and to prove this point, IKEA Norway recently released an inspirational baby name guide with over 800 nicknames inspired by the brand’s many furniture offerings.
Published on IKEA Norway’s website, the AZ “name directory” is inspired by popular products sold over the years. From a wooden table (Fredrik), to a vintage light from 1952 (Aladdin) and a chest of drawers (Nelson), there are names for everyone to choose from. Parents-to-be will also find an image located next to each baby’s name, indicating which product it was named after.
“Finding the child’s name can be both challenging and fun. At IKEA, we’ve been naming products for over 70 years,” writes the Swedish retailer. just want some inspiration, you’ll find over 800 boy and girl names here, everything from the popular Ivar to rarer names like Moalie.
Inspired by the Scandinavian baby boom
According to IKEA Norway, the name directory comes after a recent baby boom in the Scandinavian country.
“In Norway, almost 3,000 more children were born in 2021 than the previous year, which is an increase of more than 5%, and it is difficult to find unique names,” he added. Apartment Therapy report.
