Two years after announcing its opening here, it has just announced an agreement to purchase land in New Zealand’s largest shopping mall, owned by the NZX-listed Kiwi Property Group, in Mt Wellington, Auckland .

Mirja Viinanen, Managing Director and Chief Sustainability Officer of Ikea New Zealand, made the announcement today.

The company was delayed with its New Zealand debut by the pandemic.

This included identifying the best locations for future stores and meeting points with customers.
