ISFD Announces Innovation + Design Awards “Meet the Designers” Event

The International Society of Furniture Designers (ISFD) Innovation + Design 2022 Reception “Meet the Designers” will be held at 401 W. English Rd. on the Congdon Yards campus in High Point on Thursday, September 22 from 7-8:30 p.m. This event will pay tribute to this year’s record 49 finalist projects and reward the winners of the third annual Innovation + Design awards given by a jury of creators/designers. All are welcome, admission is free.

After the awards ceremony, the Innovation + Design winners’ and finalists’ projects will be on display Thursdays and Fridays from 3-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 12-7 p.m. at 401 W. English through October 26. by thousands of people living in the Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem, NC area, as well as industry veterans and High Point market participants. As a bonus, on Saturday, October 22 from 3-6 p.m., ISFD will host a reception where industry executives, designers, and marketers will be on hand to review the finalists’ projects for potential production opportunities. All are welcome.

Winners of the Innovation + Design competition will receive cash prizes ranging from $250 to $1,000 for the professional and student levels in the seating, side tables, accent storage, lighting, accessories and dining room furniture categories. Best of Show winners will receive Congdon Yards Generator gift cards to work on any project of their choice. Plus, as a bonus, this year’s finalists will be interviewed for the international podcast, Design Between the Lines, and winners will be featured in industry publications.
