The actors of the Furniture and Design sectors meet at Port
PORT, May 17, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Key players in the furniture and design industries will come together for Portugal Home Week on 21st of June and the 22 of 2022 in Alfândega do Port – Congress Center at Port.
The second edition of the event, organized by the Portuguese Association of Furniture and Related Industries (APIMA) with the support of AICEP Portugal Global, will welcome professionals from more than 40 countries to discuss the future of industries and show the world the latest innovations of the row of Portuguese houses.
Portugal Home Week will have two key moments: Home Show and Home Summit. Home Show is an exhibition that presents the best Portuguese production in the home sector, with the presence of 60 leading companies.
Home Summit is a think tank where the future of the cluster will be discussed. Siza Vieira, Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Ingrid Abramovicheditor-in-chief of Elle Decor New York, and mario ortegaCEO of BIMObject LAM, Portugal and Spainare some of the confirmed speakers so far.
Other actions will also be organised, such as meetings between companies and importers, leisure activities for visitors, visits to the headquarters and showrooms of the companies presented at the event, and other actions to promote design, Portuguese culture and creativity.

During its first edition, the event brought together 1,000 professionals and 50 companies, generating one million Euros orders and, in the months that followed, almost 10 million euros in commercial transactions.
