Stressless is also giving away a Royal recliner to the winner of its “Live Royally” contest on Facebook through May 13 with a randomly chosen winner at the end of May.

“There’s a reason it all started 50 years ago in Norway, where Scandinavian nature and culture bring out the best in technology,” said Beverly Kastel, Stressless Marketing Director for North America. . “Together, human insight and advanced robotics have created a product that is the most comfortable piece of furniture on Earth: the Stressless recliner.”

North America includes the largest market for the parent company, Ekornes, with 25% of global sales volume. In 2021, Stressless posted the highest annual sales in company history, according to Kastel.

The first Stressless recliner was built in 1971, and the company introduced sofas in 1993. A home theater collection was added in 2003, and power sofas and recliners were introduced in 2020.
